Hello, hello and Happy Friday! Hard to believe August is just around the corner. Summer is flying by, right? July has been busy, but August will be even busier! We don’t do our family vacation until August, so while I’m impatient all summer, it’s nice to have one more big thing to look forward to before school starts. Yay!
So I was reviewing my planner the other day and assessing the craziness that is my life. And I realized that July marked six months since I began this Preserves Project of mine. It has been such a fun undertaking. I knew I loved reading and following blogs, but who knew how much I’d love creating one? So much learned, so much more to learn. So many fun and inspiring people I’ve connected with. So this week, I’m sharing my Preserves Project highlights so far:
checkOUT: My First Post
I bet most of you have never read this little gem! I officially began this site on Feburary 15, 2016 when I published this welcome post, Memories are Made in the Kitchen. I spent a lot of hours designing and redesigning the site prior to making it public. With lots of help from Adam along the way, I’m pretty happy with how it looks today!
checkOUT: The Liebster Award
This was a fun post. The Liebster is a recognition passed from one blogger to another to recognize new sites. It was a fun way to connect with new people! If you’re dying to know what my favorite season is or my thoughts on mascara, head over and give this one a read.
checkOUT: My First Featured Post – Lemon, Garlic & Parmesan Roasted Broccoli
In May I was so excited to have one of my recipes featured on a major website, The SITS Girls! In their words, “A featured blogger post on The SITS Girls is our way of putting a spotlight on bloggers everywhere.” That was a pretty great day for The Preserves Project.
checkOUT: My First Sponsored Post – Asparagus & Lemon Risotto
Seems lemons bring me luck! In June, I was able to work with Kitchen IQ on a sponsored post and giveaway. This was another exciting event for The Preserves Project! It was so great to work with some great new kitchen tools and be able to giveaway a set to a lucky reader!
checkOUT: Preserves Monthly
The last highlight I want to mention is my monthly newsletter. I love creating these and giving subscribers extra content every month…cooking tips, bonus recipes and other fun stuff. Head over to the sidebar and sign up so you won’t miss out!
I know this wasn’t my regular checkIN & checkOUT, but thanks so much for checking out some of my favorite Preserves Projects moments so far. Can’t wait for the next six months!
Please comment below and let me know some of your favorite blogs…I’d love to go check them out! And come back and checkIN next week to checkOUT some more great finds!
Snap a pic of your Friyay fun and share with me on Instagram with #checkincheckoutfriday!
Have a great weekend!
