Every family has a recipe with some history. A magic soup that will send you on the road to recovery when you’re sick or those cookies that you swear you can actually taste the magic of the holidays with every bite you take. Maybe it’s an award winning pie or the perfect potluck casserole. It’s that one recipe that always turns out just right and the one that people are always asking “Can you write that down for me?” It’s the one that has been around for ages, passed down from generation to generation and is most likely on a recipe card that looks like it will fall apart any second.
Special family recipes like these are treasured memories, part of your family’s traditions and deserve to be honored and cherished. Sure those tattered and stained recipe cards or scraps of paper are special, but they are kept in boxes or tucked into cookbooks so we don’t lose them. Why not appreciate that special old recipe and it’s memories by turning it into a piece of art for your kitchen, pantry or dining room? I love to take your treasured bits of history and turn them into a piece of personalized artwork that you can frame and hang or display in your home. I think that your most special family recipes deserve to be celebrated! Head over to Preserves Designs to get your own custom recipe art!
And it’s so easy. After purchasing the printable in the shop, you just email me the recipe details: the title, ingredients, instructions and then leave the rest to me…I format it for display, add a great graphic and colors of your choice, and then email you a draft to approve. It’s that simple. Then it’s printed and shipped to you! What a wonderful gift to yourself, or for your friends and family to mark their special occasions…Mother’s Day, bridal showers, wedding gifts, housewarmings…ensuring their special memories are preserved for the future.
So choose and create a custom piece of artwork that will Preserve a little of the past. And sweeten the future by sparking an interest in little chefs who will want to learn to create those best recipes!
Afterall, our most special recipes contain secrets and memories, laughter and healing powers and most especially life lessons and love…
What are some of your family’s most special recipes?

Stacy I love it!! I have been accumulating my moms recipes for a few months & since she does it off the top of her head, I know this would be perfect! xx

Ok this is pretty amazing! My mom just finished making individual recipe books for each member of our family…They were a way to remember our grandma’s recipes. She passed away just over a year ago and it was a really lovely project that my mom undertook for the whole family. My grandma was a great cook – it was a really special way to honor her! Thanks so much for making this a service to others!

Stacy, I LOVE this idea! You do such beautiful work. I have so many recipes passed down from my grandmothers. My dad’s mom created a binder for me full of her handwritten recipes. It would be so nice to get one printed in such a beautiful way. 🙂

This is such a cute idea! I have always stored the handwritten recipes I have gotten from my grandmothers in frames because some of my favorite memories of them were cooking with them or sitting around the kitchen table and having a good time. This is a really creative way to preserve those memories as well!

I love this idea and the print is really sharp looking. I had a friend make a cookbook out of all her families old recipes. I think my friend would also like your idea and it would make a great gift.
